Session information

When to book

Ideally arrange your session during your pregnancy or as soon as your baby is born. I will give you a provisional booking within 10 days of your due date and can easily change it according to your baby’s arrival.

When to photograph

The best time to capture newborn babies is between 7 - 14 days of age. Smaller babies (5/6 pounds) may be photographed at 12-14 days, while bigger babies should be photographed at 10 days of age.

I understand that new mummies can go through a difficult recovery, feeling tired and delicate. I have developed great skills in post production and whenever necessary I can remove any signs of stress of the first few weeks of birth. While the baby is a bundle of perfection, it is a hard stressful time for you so rest assured you will look as vibrant and fresh as your baby.

What to expect from your newborn session

Sessions take 3-4 hours. This time allows plenty of time for any feeding, changing and settling breaks the baby may need. I will not rush this process in any way. Siblings and parents are welcome at no additional cost.

Your photo session will include:

  • My time and talent in the comfort of a lovely home studio in East Dulwich
  • Use of wide prop selection - baskets, blankets, wraps, headbands, hats
  • 1 x Watermarked Facebook preview (or email)
  • Personal viewing and ordering session

What to bring along

Nappies, pacifier, formula, favourite toys and blanket.

Some days your baby may not be in the right mood for a photography session. If this becomes apparent after the first hour of the session I will offer to reschedule at a future time for no extra charge. Contact me
